INDIVIDUALIZED PREGNANCY, BIRTH, AND POSTPARTUM SUPPORT

BODY

Growing, birthing, and nurturing new life are profound experiences on many levels. Beginning with the physical realm, we awaken to the wisdom of the body. As a certified Body Ready Method pro, I can assess your alignment and movement patterns in order to help you become aware of imbalances and know what to do to remedy them. The simple exercises and poses I recommend will be tailored to your specific needs and the needs of your baby (or babies). Coming into alignment and balance can help you provide the optimal space for your baby (or babies) in the womb and as they navigate your pelvis during the birthing process. Becoming ‘body ready’ facilitates a more efficient and functional physiological pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience.

MIND

Pregnancy is a time of preparation. You may find yourself nesting and gathering information, supplies, stories, advice etc. As a birth consultant I can help you organize and process what you have gathered as well as tune into your own inner resources. I want to make sure you have everything you need to make informed decisions at every step of your journey. Sometimes it can feel like there is too much information! I can help you hone in on what is truly important. I also feel strongly about the importance of every woman and family knowing their rights as they pertain to body autonomy and birth choices.

SPIRIT

As labor begins, the mother embarks upon a journey that usually involves altered states of consciousness. Pregnancy is a special time when the veils between worlds thin and one can get a taste of life in these other realms. Through guided meditation, breath work, and creative arts I can help facilitate your exploration of these dimensions in preparation for birth. In doing this kind of inner work, I hope to be able to help you step into alignment with your truest goals, values, and wishes, to stand in your personal power and integrity, and to be as comfortable and confident as possible throughout the process.

Woman, mother*

* I am choosing not to adopt the term “birthing person” as I do not want to take away from the full spectrum of what a woman and/or mother can encompass. Please let me know if either of these terms do not apply to you and let me know the best way to address you and I will respect and honor your gender, sex, and/or parental role identification.
